Greetings, teachers!
What is the Algonquin Writing Center?
The Algonquin Writing Center is a dedicated space for writers to work one-on-one with trained tutors. Here, students are at the center of the process. Tutors and writers engage in authentic conversation on all types of writing at any stage of the writing process. Ultimately, we hope our work together will reinforce good, life-long writing habits. |
Why Send Your Students to the AWC?
There's too much to get through in an entire year let alone a school day. We understand it can be hard to spend time brainstorming, planning, drafting, and revising during class time. That's where we come in. Not only will we help your students engage fully in the writing process but also increase their satisfaction with writing and reduce procrastination (Fritzsche & Young, 2002).
